Presentations:
The
Transition from an Analog Environment to a Digital Environment
using DirecPC Satellite dishes - DirecPC Satellite
Dishes allow schools to have higher bandwith and higher download
speeds to the Internet. This technology allows your school's
network to be connected to the Internet instead of a single
computer. Reduced monthly rates are currently available to schools
through a partnership between Industry Canada's SchoolNet and
the STENTOR group of companies including NewTel Communications.
Over 150 of these dishes have already been installed and are
being used for school projects including Distance Education
pilot courses in the Vista School District. Frank Shapleigh,
